SECTION 3 MAXIMUM SYSTEM CAPACITIES
The CHS2UG is a compact 19” chassis that has six universal slots, one expansion
slot and one MPS7101 (power supply unit). When the GCD-CP10 is installed in the
first CHS2UG, it is referred to as the Controlling Chassis. Additional chassis,
referred to as Expansion Chassis, can be installed to increase the capacity of the
system to meet the customer’s business needs.
As Figure 2-3 19” Controlling and Expansion Chassis and Table 2-2 SV9100
Maximum System Capacities – Trunks/Ports/Channels illustrate, the system can be
expanded to a total of 512 ports by vertically stacking a maximum of three additional
chassis onto the controlling chassis. This provides a maximum of 24 slots and 368
digital terminals. To obtain a the maximum port capacity of 512 ports, two systems
can be linked together via an IP connection.
