8.5.3. Position Loop Dead Band
The parameter DBP is used to specify a dead band for the deviation of position loop. The
deviation will be zeroed when it is under the set data of the parameter DBP.
The dead band eliminates problems of positioning instability right after completion of
positioning.

Ì: Require an entry of the password.
The parameter DBP specifies a dead band on the position loop deviation in both sides of 0 (zero)
and zeroes the deviation that is under the DBP setting.
In some use conditions, slight vibration may occur due minute deviation. Provision of the dead
band eliminates such slight vibration.
◊ If a dead band is specified, the repeatability of positioning accuracy will be
deteriorated by the amount of the dead band though the slight vibration may be
eliminated.
The unit of the dead band is a half of pulse count.
(Corresponds to a half of the resolution of position sensor. Refer to “2.7. Driver Unit
Specifications” for the resolution of position sensor.)
