8.6. Positioning Operation
8.6.1. Acceleration Profiling and Individual Acceleration Setting
The EDC Driver Unit has the function for acceleration profiling and individual setting of
acceleration and deceleration.
◊ These functions are available for the positioning operation, jogging operation and
Home Return operation.
Utilize these functions according to operation velocity and load conditions.

The parameters CSA (Acceleration pattern select) and CSB (Deceleration pattern select) set the
acceleration profiling. Table 8-32 in the next page describes the availability of acceleration
profiling.
When setting CSB0 to the parameter CSB, the deceleration profiling will be the same as that of
acceleration.
Acceleration and deceleration specified by the parameters MA and MB denote average
acceleration and deceleration respectively.
