8.9.3.2. Backup of Parameter
Store the parameter settings of the Driver Unit as a text file.
1) Launch Hyper Terminal.
◊ ([Start] → [Programs] → [Accessories] → [Communications] → [Hyper
Terminal])
There is the icon you have made in the menu.
2) The parameters AO (Absolute position scale offset) and MM (Multi-line mode) will not be
backed up with the following procedures. Keep the copy as described below.
(1) Read out the parameter AO.
Copy the settings of each Motor because it is individually set to each Motor due to the
difference in the setting of home position.

(2) Monitor and note the setting of the parameter MM.

3) Perform capturing of text (Record of communication contents).

[Transfer] → [Capture Text]
◊ After inputting file name, click [Start] button to start capturing of the text.
4) Execute the command TX0 (Parameter dump) and monitor the settings of the Driver Unit.

Input of the command TX0 starts high speed scrolling of screen.
The execution completes when scrolling stops.
5) Stop capturing the text.
◊ [Transfer] → [Capture Text] → [Stop]
6) Open the captured text by a text editor and delete the
line on which the command TX0 is inputted.
