The joint parts of the SPDF have tabs that latch onto the scanner. You need to push the SPDF forward
fully while removing it, in order to detach the SPDF from the tabs.
SPDF Front Cover
There are five tabs on the back of the SPDF front cover.
1. Open the SPDF top cover [A].
2. Remove the SPDF front cover [B].
