Affect on other
controls
The default acoustic output adjusts for contrast imaging and the
Power Output key provides more subtle gradations for use while
in contrast imaging. When you exit Contrast Imaging, the
system returns the acoustic output to its original setting.
Most system controls are available (Depth, ROI, Zoom,
Colorize, etc.). However, some controls are not available
(Coded Excitation, Anatomical M Mode, Rejection, B Softener,
and Suppression).
Controls adjusted while in Contrast Imaging retain these values
when you exit Contrast Imaging (except for post-processing
controls). When you reactivate Contrast Imaging, your last
selected contrast technique is remembered (except for TruAgent
Detection, which returns to B Fundamental).
Bioeffect Activating Contrast Imaging may change the TI and/or MI.
Observe the output display for possible effects.
The Power Output key has been enhanced to provide more
subtle gradations for use while contrast imaging. The
Mechanical Index displays values less than 0.1. These values
are displayed on CINE Loops and on archived images.
Scanning Hints Place focal zone just below the target anatomy.
You can visualize perfusion in interval imaging -- see the
contrast agent that washes in-between the frames.
