Stroke Volume Ratio (SV) (continued)
6. To fix the start point caliper, press Set. Use the ellipse or
trace method to measure the circumference and area of the
vessel.
7. To complete the circumference/area measurement, press
Set.
The FCA is displayed. The SV (Stroke Volume) is also
computed and displayed from velocity and FCA values.
Automatic SV
calculation
When you select SV, the system automatically calculates stroke
volume, if you first make the following measurements:
• Velocity, measured while in Doppler Mode
• The cross sectional area of a vessel, measured while in B-
Mode
