Chapter 8 Mandatory Setting for Motor Drive and Test Run
8-2-2
When operating by inputting RUN command and frequency command from the keypad
(1) Before test run, confirm that each parameter is set correctly according to "8.1 Mandatory
Setting for Operation".
(2) Set [F001], [F004], [A001], and [A002] as shown in the table below.
It is recommended that "Output frequency setting or monitor [F001]" is set to a low speed of
approximately 10 Hz for safety at the first time.
The default setting of "Acceleration time 1 setting or monitor, 1st-motor
[F002]"/"Deceleration time 1 setting or monitor, 1st-motor [F003]" is 10 seconds. Please
change as necessary. In addition, V/f control is recommended for "Control mode selection,
1st-motor [A044]" in the test run with no load.
(3) Monitor the output frequency with [d001] and confirm that "0.00" (Hz) is displayed.
(4) When the RUN key is pressed, the running LED [RUN] of keypad lights and the motor starts to
rotate.
(5) Check there are any abnormalities in output frequency monitor, actual motor rotation speed,
motor rotation direction, and inverter. The motor rotation direction can be checked by
"Rotation direction monitor [d003]".
(6) If no problem is found, gradually increase the output frequency by [F001].
(7) After checking the operation, press STOP/RESET key. The motor starts decelerating and after
stopping, the running LED [RUN] on keypad turns off.
