a. Hold the battery so that the positive (+) side of the battery is facing toward the center of the
server.
b. Pull the retainer tab out of the way so that you can slide the battery into its socket.
c. Slide the battery down until it snaps into place, as shown in Figure 149.
2. Replace the top cover. See “Replacing the top cover” on page 72.
3. Place the node in the rack. See “Replacing the SAN Volume Controller in a rack” on page 48.
Removing the power supply
You must remove the SAN Volume Controller power supply if you intend to replace it.
Use the reference numbers in parentheses at the end of each notice, such as (C003) for example, to find
the matching translated notice in IBM Systems Safety Notices.
