12. Turn on the node.
Replacing the SAN Volume Controller 2145-8A4 fans
This topic describes how to replace the SAN Volume Controller 2145-8A4 fans.
Take precautions to avoid damage from static electricity. Wear an anti-static wrist strap and use a
static-protected mat or surface. For more information, see “Handling static-sensitive devices” on page xix.
Perform the following steps to replace a failed fan:
1. Position the replacement fan, shown in Figure 241 on page 218, so that the airflow arrow on the side
of the fan points toward the rear of the node.
Note: Correct airflow is from the front to the rear of the node.
