Controlling How the Terminal Will Operate
The operating parameters let you adjust the way the terminal operates. By customizing
the operating parameters, you can
set the terminal to automatically shut off after a specified length of time.
set the terminal to resume applications or restart applications.
modify bar code data by appending the time.
modify bar code data by using preambles and postambles.
enable or disable specific reader commands.
configure a RAM drive.
change the volume of the audio signals (beeper and keypad clicker).
control the display contrast, backlight timeout, and font size.
enable or disable the keypad clicker and keypad caps lock.
customize the way the scan module operates by selecting scan ahead data buffering,
type of scanner device, decode security level, scanner timeout value, and trigger
modes.
