Operating Reader Commands
This section explains the reader commands that you can use to operate or change the
terminal’s configuration. For each command, you will find the purpose, syntax for
commands sent from a network device, and bar code labels. The operating commands are
listed in alphabetical order.
Backlight On and Off Save Configuration in Flash Memory
Change Configuration Scanner Trigger On and Off
Default Configuration Set Time and Date
Multiple-Read Labels Test and Service Mode
Reset Firmware
Backlight On and Off
Purpose: Turns the backlight on to easily view the terminal screen in dimly lit environments.
From Network: %.1
Keypad: Press
to turn the backlight on or off.

Backlight On

Keypad: Press
to turn the backlight on or off.
