Operating Reader Commands
This section explains the reader commands that you can use to operate or change the
terminal’s configuration. For each command, you will find the purpose, syntax for
commands sent from a network device, and bar code labels. The operating commands are
listed in alphabetical order.

Backlight On and Off
Purpose: Turns the backlight on to easily view the terminal screen in dimly lit environments.

Keypad: Press
to turn the backlight on or off.

Keypad: Press
to turn the backlight on or off.

Note: You can use the command %. to toggle the backlight on and off.
