Starting the Application and Using the Terminal
Your T2420 ships loaded with a sample application. Your T2425 ships loaded with
either the sample application or a terminal emulation application.
To start the application and use the terminal
1. Press L to turn on the terminal. The login or initial screen for your application
appears.
2. Check the four application screens shown next in the left column. Find the
application screen that matches the one on your terminal. Follow the instructions on
the right of the screen to use the terminal.

a. Use the sample application to scan bar code labels and test the
terminal’s keypad. For help, see Appendix D, “Using the Default
Applications.”
b. Connect the T2420 to a host computer using the communications
dock, the optical link adapter, or the serial interface module. For
help, see the accessory documentation.
c. Create custom applications for the terminal using the TRAKKER
Antares Programmer’s Software Kit (PSK) or EZBuilder and
Microsoft C/C++ functions.
d. Download your custom application to the terminal and run it. For
help, see Chapter 5, “Using Custom Applications.”
