8.1.3. Editing Function of Control Input and Output
8.1.3.1. Editing Control Input Function
The command PI (Edit input port) edits the control input ports.
When editing mode of control inputs is established by the command PI, settings of the parameter
FN (Port function) and NW (Anti-chattering timer) becomes effective.
◊ Deactivation of the Motor servo is required for setting these parameters.
◊ Reboot of the power is not necessary because the edited result by the command PI
becomes immediately effective.
The control input port PI0 is exclusively used for safety function. This means that the function
setting to the port (Parameter FN) is fixed to the input EMST (Emergency stop).
◊ The parameter AB (Input port polarity) and parameter NW (Anti-chattering timer) are
effective on the port PI0.
The monitor IO (Input/Output monitor) reads out conditions of each function. Refer to “7.3.1.
Monitoring Way for Control Input/Output Signal” for more details.
