6. Pull the end of the keeper pin out-
ward (right side of gas strut ball
socket).
7. Rotate the keeper pin (counterclock-
wise).
8. Slide the pin down until it comes out
of the ball socket holes.
9. Pull the gas strut off of the ball stud.
Proceed to step 10.
