Introduction 2
This chapter is organised in the following sections:
SAILOR 100 Satellite TV system
Part numbers and options
2.1 SAILOR 100 Satellite TV system
The SAILOR 100 Satellite TV provides television for ships across the
world. The SAILOR 100 Satellite TV is a unique stabilized maritime
TV antenna. It delivers whole band TV - 4 linear TV band
simultaneously (VL, VH, HL, HH) or 2 circular TV bands
simultaneously (LHCP, RCHP) (dependent of the setting of the
motorised polariser) and transfers these stacked TV bands on one
single antenna cable from the Antenna (ADU: Above Deck Unit) to
the antenna control unit (ACU: Antenna Control Unit). The
programmable LNB makes the system truly global and independent
of channel providers. The single antenna cable (50 ohm) carries DC,
control and TV bands between the ADU and ACU. The radome does
not have to be removed neither before nor after the installation. To
protect the Above Deck Unit the built-in DC motors act as brakes
during transport and when the Above Deck Unit is not powered. The
ADU system can be accessed remotely and in-depth performance
analysis can be done using the built-in web interface.
The SAILOR 100 Satellite TV system consists of the following units:
Above Deck Unit (ADU)
Antenna Control Unit (ACU)
Control Panel for setup and operation
Multiswitch(es) (optional, Maritime-approved, see Table 2-2 on
page 11)
24 V Power Supply TT-6080 unit (optional)
SAILOR Transmodulator unit (optional)
