Description
The function of slave addressing is activated when ENABLE switches to TRUE.
For reliable identification of the slave, the ID number must also be given. The
RESPONSE output also indicates error-free or faulty execution when CONFIRM
switches to TRUE.
The following states can be output on the RESPONSE output:
FUNCTION_OK
Function was executed without error
SERVICE_NOT_ACTIVATED
The 'Address Change' service is not
activated on the slave
NO_STATION_RESPONSE
No response received from the slave
NO_MASTER_TOKEN
Master does not currently have the token.
Bus short-circuit.
The diagnostics block is also used to control active communication of the newly
address slave with the master.
The MODIFICATION input can be used to select whether other address changes
of the slave are permitted or not.
MODIFICATION = FALSE: Other address changes are permitted.
MODIFICATION = TRUE: Other address changes are not permitted.
