2.7| NECESSARY REPAIRS
CAUTION
Damage caused by improper
repairs / incorrect spare parts
Repairs must only be carried out by WMF spe-
cialist dealer / the Service centre, otherwise the
pressure cooker could be damaged or the safety
devices might not function properly any more,
causing risk of burns.
•
If repairs are necessary, contact a WMF spe-
cialist dealer / the Service centre.
•
Handles that are cracked or that do not fit
properly should be replaced by a WMF spe-
cialist dealer / the Service centre.
•
Only use original pressure cooker spare parts
from WMF.
2.8| SUITABLE STOVE TYPES
CAUTION
Suitable types of stove
and hob sizes
The pressure cooker can only be used with an
induction, glass ceramic or electric stove. The
diameter of the hob or gas flame cannot be big-
ger than the bottom of the pot.
•
On gas stoves, the gas flame must not pro-
trude above the base of the pot.
•
For optimum heat transfer and connection
with the cooker, the size of the pot should
match the size of the hob.
•
For glass ceramic or electric cookers, the
diameter of the hotplate should not exceed
160 mm (2.5 litres) or 190 mm (3.0 - 8.5
litres).
•
A buzzing sound may occur on induction hobs
at high cooking levels. This is due to technical
reasons and is not a sign of a defect on your
stove or pressure cooker.
2.9| MAINTAINING SERVICE LIFE
ATTENTION
Damage to the pressure cooker
To prevent damage to the pressure cooker:
•
Do not hit kitchen utensils against the pot’s
rim.
•
Only add salt to boiling water and stir so that
the bottom of the pot is not damaged.
•
Avoid getting dirt between the bottom of the
pot and the hob, otherwise the hob (e.g. glass
ceramic) can get scratched.
