APRILIA RSV4 R - Crankshaft removal

•
Mark the piston crown on the exhaust
side so as to remember the refitting po-
sition.
•
Remove the piston.

Separate the crankcases, removing
the lower part
•
If the heads were removed, position
the specific special tool to keep the pis-
tons from coming out.
Specific tooling
020858Y Device for holding the pistons in the
cylinders
•
Unscrew and remove the eight con-
necting rod screws.
•
Remove the four connecting rod caps.
NOTE
MARK THE COMPONENTS TO PREVENT INCORRECT RE-
FITTING.
•
Take out the crankshaft.
