3-3-5 Unpacking Vivid 7
CAUTION
Two people are needed to unpack the unit because of its weight.
Attempts to move the unit considerable distances or on an incline by one person could result 
in injury or damage or both.
Two people are required whenever a part weighing 16 kg (35 lbs) or more must be lifted or 
pushed up or down a slope.

Step Task
1.
Open the four hinges on each door and remove the doors.
One of the doors are used as ramp out off and into the transportation box. 
On the first version of the Transportation Box, only the front door is meant to be used as a ramp. It has bevel cut in one end.
2. Place the front door as a ramp against the rear edge of the pallet.

Carefully remove the accessory box, and any other items, including the wooden shelf above the scanners keyboard. 
- Vivid 7 with LCD monitor: Part #10, support for the LCD monitor, can’t be removed at this time. Remove the rest of the packing 
material from the transportation box. 
- Vivid 7 with CRT monitor: Remove all the filling material, from the transportation box.

should be used as 
the lower end of the 
ramp.
On the first version transportation box, which 
is no longer manufactured by GE, a 10 cm 
board (not furnished) is placed as a support 
under the upper end of the ramp.
On the second version transportation box, the ramp is placed 
directly on the labank ends.
“Labank”
