Since the introduction of the Vivid 7, the Serial Number
have been changed a few times:
- On the first systems (with RFT), the serial number were a
4 digit serial number.
Example: 1234
In the GIB database, a “VM” suffix were added for these
serial numbers, to make them unique.
Example: 1234VM
- Starting with the introduction of the RFI systems
FC200410, FC200420, FC200430 and FC200440, from
serial number 3276V7 and onwards, the product code “V7”
was added as a suffix on the label.
In the GIB database, this product code replaces the “VM”
suffix.
Example: 3276V7
(both on the label and in the GIB database)
When the LCD monitor was introduced, a new suffix was
added to the serial number on the label. A “C” indicates
that the system has a CRT monitor, an “L” indicates that
the system has an LCD monitor.
Example: 9876V7C indicates that the unit has a CRT
monitor
Example: 9876V7L indicates that the unit has an LCD
monitor.
