Rigging the outrigger span
• Observe all information on selection of the location and determining the
required load-bearing area before rigging the outrigger span;

the suitable site
, p. 11 - 9.
• Using the level adjustment system, lower
the truck crane to the lowest position – end
position.
• Extend the front outrigger beams to a span
of 7.800 m (17.3 ft) and secure them;
à Setting the spans, p. 11 - 42.
• Switch off the suspension.
• Extend the front outrigger cylinder until the
wheels of the 1st axle line no longer touches
the ground and is raised a maximum of 1 cm
(0.4 in).
Enter rigging mode
When a special outrigger span is rigged, three
different RCL codes (1) are required.
– RCL code 1066
For raising and setting down the main boom
in the 180° position.
– RCL code 1006
For slewing the superstructure in the 360°
range.
– RCL code 1076
For removal/installation of the outrigger
beams in the slewing range ± 90° (to the
rear).
After entering the RCL code, the display (2)
shows the front individual width 3.90 m
(12.8 ft) and the rear individual width 0.00 m.
