6.5.5 Preparations – for installation/removal using the truck crane
With an appropriately programmed RCL, you can carry out removal/instal-
lation of the rear outrigger beams in the same way as described in the oper-
ating instructions supplied and use the truck crane instead of an auxiliary
crane to pull out/insert the outrigger beams.
Prerequisites – The outrigger span 5.287 m x 7.800 / 2.500 m (17.3 ft x 25.6 / 8.2 ft) is ena-
bled by the RCL (RCL codes 1066, 1006, 1076 can be confirmed).
– The counterweight is completely unrigged.
– The main boom must be fully retracted.
– The main boom must be resting in the boom rest.
– The truck crane is standing on the wheels.
– The tyre pressure corresponds at least to the values listed in the
operating
manual

– The the rear outrigger is retracted.
– The truck crane must be standing on a level, flat surface.

Overview
The truck crane rests on the outrigger at the
front – outrigger span
1 = 7.800 m (25.6 ft).
The truck crane rests on wheels at the rear –
outrigger span
2 = 2.500 m (8.2 ft).
This results in an outrigger length of
3 = 5.287 m (17.3 ft).
