19.6.3 Commission
Always test the operation and reaction of the STO function before commission-
ing.
Dangerous movements! Danger to life, risk of in-
jury, serious injury or property damage!
Do not commission the installation without having it checked by a qualified per-
son!
Before an installation with integrated safety technology is commissioned for the
first time, the installation must be checked and approved in documented form
by a qualified person.
Check the danger zone!
● Before commissioning, make sure that nobody is staying in the danger zone.
● Check the danger zone and secure it against access by persons (e.g., put up
warning signs, install barriers or the like). Observe the applicable laws and lo-
cal regulations.
