Follow the procedure below to change the oil:
Change oil only with gears warm after operation.
Park the machine on level ground.
The oil level control screw ("Oil Level") (1) is horizontal (see illustration).
Put an oil-resistant collecting vessel of sufficient size underneath.
Open the oil drain screw (2) and the oil level control screw and let the old oil drain.
Reinsert the oil drain screw.
Open the bleeding screw (3). Close the ROPA planetary gear oil filler at the oil filler
opening (1).
Fill up the planetary gears using the ROPA planetary gear oil filler so far until the oil
level reaches the lower edge of the oil filling opening.
Screw the oil level control screw in again.
Screw in the bleeding screw again.
Wait for about 15 minutes and check the oil level again. Add oil if necessary. Tight-
ening torque for the three screws: 50 Nm.
ADVICE
Use the ROPA planetary oil filler (ROPA item no. 018001700, included with the
machine) for filling the oil. Using this special tool, you can precisely and easily fill up
the corresponding oil volume.
Prescribed oil variants: Gear oil
API GL5, SAE 90
Filling volume: per planetary gear approx. 3.5 litres
