7.7 Pneumatic system
Maintenance work on the pneumatic system is only required for the air dryer and com-
pressed air reservoirs. The compressor is maintenance-free.
The air dryer and the five compressed air reservoirs are installed under the right side
cover. The dryer cartridge (1 ROPA item no. 261003500) of the air dryer must be
replaced once a year.
The condensation water must be drained from the compressed air reservoirs every
100 operating hours. If the machine is to be taken out of operation for a longer period
(more than a week) the condensation water must also be drained from the com-
pressed air tank. For this, press the drain valve slightly sideward or backward.
CAUTION
Falling and injury hazard!
– Before draining water, stop the machine and switch off the engine.
– The machine must be secured against inadvertent starting of the engine.
– All maintenance and repair work may only be performed by trained personnel.
– Use a stable ladder for all maintenance work on the air dryer.
– When handling acid batteries, always wear gloves, protective goggles and
approved personal protective equipment (See Page 37).
