Product Rejection
Product reject stations are located throughout the system:
• Each bagger discharge has a pivoting chute for product reject.
• Cartoner: When product is present on the bucket infeed conveyor
but a carton is missing, product is dumped over the end of the
conveyor and is discharged on a product reject conveyor.
• Cartoner: A reject system using an air cylinder and push rod is
located on the cartoner discharge coveyor. This system will reject
empty cartons or cartons with open flaps.
• Metal Detector: Located after the discharge conveyor is a metal
detector with its own reject system.
• Checkweigher: Located after the metal detector is a checkweigher,
also with its own reject system.
