Product Insertion – Barrel Loader
The product in the buckets is inserted into the erected cartons. An upper
conveyor, also called the “barrel loader”, is installed for this purpose. This
conveyor works as a rotary mechanism consisting of chains on which insertion
slides are mounted. These slides are moved forward during each revolution, thus
pushing the product into the carton.
The barrel loader is positioned above the bucket conveyor and consists of two
chains and the insertion slides. Each slide belongs to one bucket. The insertion
slides move in a guide through which they are push product into the bucket.
