Bag Transfer Parameters Descriptions
Bag Transfers Parameters
Parameter Description
Stage2-Drops for Full Stack This is the number of times that stage 2 will open in order to
drop a full stack count to Stage 3. When this number of drops
is complete, Stage 3 will open to allow all the packages to be
dropped to Stage 4 where they will wait for the proper bucket
in the infeed bucket conveyor to arrive.
Stage 2-First Drop Count This is the number of packages, from the bagger, that Stage-2
will release to Stage 3. Stage-3 will not open until the number
of drops in the above parameter, is reached. For Example, if
this setting was set to 3, and the previous parameter (Stage 2-
Drops for Full Stack) was set to 2, the end result would be 6
bags (2x3=6) put into each bucket on the bucket conveyor.
Stage 2-Close Each Drop This determines if Stage-2 will close after each drop.
Drop Gate Open Position This determines the width of the drop gate when it is in the
open position. This is dependent on the width of the bags.
Acceleration Belt Speed This determines the speed of the conveyors within the
Transfer Stations.
Prod Lngth/Gap Chk(%/cycle) This parameter allows the CMK to check for proper product
spacing on the acceleration belt as the bags enter the Bag
Transfer stations. At full speed one bag cycle is made up by
the length of the bag itself plus the gap to the next bag. The
bag length makes up a certain percentage of the total length.
This setting should be slightly longer than the actual bag
length.
Start with a number that is slightly short. Increase the setting
slowly until properly spaced bags do not falsely trigger Bag
Transfer jam warnings.
Bag Transfer 1 Drop Position This value is used to adjust where the product is dropped in
the bucket. This is used to align the product drops with each
bucket in order to create as neat a stack as possible.
Bag Transfer 1 Drop Bucket This is the setting that allows bags from each Bag Transfer to
be dropped into unique buckets on the bucket conveyor.
NOTE: Because of various timing issues the bucket in which
the stack ends up will not necessarily be the same as the
bucket during which drop signal is given. Therefore each Bag
Transfer station will not necessarily have unique Drop Bucket
parameters even when each station is properly dropping
stacks into unique buckets.
Bag Transfer 2 Drop Position This value is used to adjust where the product is dropped in
the bucket. This is used to align the product drops with each
bucket in order to create as neat a stack as possible.
