Areas of the Machine
Sequence of Operations
The illustration below shows the areas of the machine and the sequence of
operations for production from a carton blank to the finished carton.

Shows the typical sequence of operations for the CMK.
Sequence of Operations
1. Cartons feed in on the carton supply.
2. Cartons are stacked into the carton magazine.
3. Cartons are transported out of the magazine.
4. Cartons are erected.
5. Side flaps are closed.
6. Prepackaged product is inserted into the cartons.
7. Flaps are coded (Optional).
8. Side flaps are closed.
9. Lower cover flaps are closed.
10. Glue is applied.
11. The upper cover flaps are closed and held closed to complete the seal.
12. The completed carton is transported away.
Note: Machines may vary due to individual design requirements.
