Gluing Considerations
Processing Data
The following list indicates important considerations for adhesive applications:
• Application system used.
• Recommended processing temperature.
• Maximum processing temperature.
• Color.
• Softening point.
• Viscosity at various temperatures.
• Open time.
• Special properties / application areas.
• Delivery formats (granulate, rods, pellets).
Refer to data from the adhesive manufacturer for specific information.
Even when the required processing temperature is
observed, hot melts emit vapors, and annoyances from
odors may occur.
If the prescribed processing temperatures are exceeded
for some time, then dangerous decomposition products
may be produced.
In this case, all necessary measures should be taken to
eliminate these vapors (e.g. by a suitable exhaust).
Follow the glue manufacturer's instructions!
