Gluing Considerations
Glue Vapors
Hot melt glues emit vapors, even at their specified processing temperatures.
Additional ventilation may be required to remove those vapors. Refer to the glue
manufactures documentation.
Cleaning the Glue Applicator
The glue spreading machines should be regularly emptied, filled with new glue
and rinsed, as needed. Due to dust exposure or partial overheating, these
deposits may build-up and can only be removed manually. To facilitate the
cleaning, put the polluted parts into a suitable solvent for the recommended
amount of time so that the deposits are softened (Refer to the information from
the glue manufacturer).
A polluted glue spreading device, e.g. plugged nozzles, may cause malfunctions
to the machine. Clean the glue-spreading device regularly, control the
processing temperature, and make sure that no dust or other dirt gets into the
glue container.
When working with solvents, ensure good ventilation and
prevent open fire!
Follow the safety instructions indicated on the supplier's
instruction information!
