Lubrication
General
The reliability of the carton machine and its operation depend significantly on a regular and
adequate lubrication program. Operating malfunctions are often the result of a lack of lubrication
or failure to observe lubrication intervals. Always use the correct lubricants.
To achieve good lubrication results:
• Verify that the lubrication equipment is operating properly.
• Use only recommended lubricants.
• Clean the lubrication locations so the lubricant is applied properly.
• Apply the lubrication on regular intervals.
Central lubrication
• This machine is equipped with a central lubrication system that supplies lubricant (oil) to
all necessary areas in the machine.
• The lubricant is drawn out of a storage container, through tubing, to areas that require
lubrication on regular intervals.
• In the standard design of the machine, this process is initiated by the operator, who uses
a lever on the lubrication pump.
• The machine can also be fitted with an optional automatic central lubrication system.
• The drawings below illustrate the layout of the central lubrication system.
