Gluing Considerations
Contact Pressure
While pieces are being pressed together, they should not be moved in relation to
each other.
Heating Time
When the glue device is filled up with adhesive granulate (or other forms), it will
take time until the glue is melted and is ready for processing. Most glue devices
use a temperature monitoring system to prevent start up when temperatures in
the glue containers are below specified limits. During production, do not add
large quantities of glue at the same time or the temperature may drop below the
low temperature limit, causing the machine to stop production.
Caution: Danger of burns!
The glue application devices are very hot!
The gluing mechanism, the glue supply container, the
glue hoses and the application nozzles are especially
hot. Appropriate protective equipment is required for
jobs performed on these machine parts!
