Drive Chain
Tension Drive Chain: Main Shaft-Carton Chain
Tension the drive chain from the main shaft to the cartons:
• Loosen the four fastening screws (1).
• Adjust the tension with the tension screw (2).
• Tighten the four fastening screws (1).
The drive wheel for this chain is fitted with an overload clutch that is monitored by
an inductive proximity switch. When the clutch is engaged because of
excessively high force, the carton machine is stopped by an alarm signal. Once
the cause is determined and eliminated, the clutch may be locked back in place
by moving the carton machine forward in JOG mode.
