Initial Issue
007-704 Tray 2 Empty RAP
The Control Logic detected the signal, No Paper Sensed (H) +5VDC.
Initial Actions
• Put paper into Tray 2 and ensure that the paper is loaded properly.
Procedure
Remove paper from Tray 2. Check that the No Paper actuator is operating properly. The
actuator is present and operates smoothly.
YN
Replace the No Paper Sensor Actuator (PL 13.5).
Access the Digital Input (DI) Test from the control panel. Enter code [DI-A4]. Press the Enter
button. The display is “1”.
YN
Check the following:
• Go to Flag 1. Check the wires for an open circuit
• Go to Flag 2. Check the wires for an open or a short circuit to ground.
• If the wires are good, replace the No Paper Sensor (PL 13.5).
Put 200 sheets of paper into Tray 2. Close the paper tray. Access the Digital Input (DI) Test
from the control panel. Enter code [DI-A4]. Press the Enter button. The display is “0”.

Replace the No Paper Sensor (PL 13.5). If the problem continues, replace the Feeder
PWB (PL 13.4).
Replace the Feeder PWB (PL 13.4).
