009-359 BTR 2 Bias RAP
The output current monitor value for BTR 2 bias is outside of the allowable range.
Procedure
There is +24 VDC from J 42 pin 10 to J 42 pin 13 on the High Voltage Power Supply.
YN
Go to Flag 1 and Flag 5. Check for an open circuit or a short circuit to frame ground. If the
wires are OK, replace the MCU PWB (PL 11.2).
Access the Digital Output Test (GP 2). Enter code 0A. Press the Item/Enter button. There is
less than 1 VDC from pin 10 to pin 13 on J 42.
YN
Replace the MCU PWB (PL 11.2).
Remove the BTR 2 Assembly (PL 7.5). Check the following:
• Check for dirt or damage to the BTR 2 Roll.
• Ensure that the BTR 2 Cleaner is correctly installed.
• Check for damage or corrosion on the Ground Contact Spring.
Clean, repair, or replace as required. The fault code is still declared.
YN
The problem is resolved.
Remove the IBT Assembly (PL 7.2). Check the following:
• Go to Flag 4. Check for continuity.
• Check for contamination of, or damage to the Contact Roll and the Backup Roll
• Check for toner buildup on the IBT Belt, and between the Contact Roll and the Backup
Roll.
Clean, repair, or replace as required. The fault code is still declared.
YN
The problem is resolved.
Go to Flag 2, Flag 3, and Flag 5. Check for an open circuit or a short circuit to ground. If the
wires are OK, replace the High Voltage Power Supply (PL 11.1). If the problem continues,
replace the MCU PWB (PL 11.2).
