Repairs and Adjustments
Initial Issue
REP 8.1 Turn Roll

Removal
WARNING
To avoid personal injury or shock, do not perform repair activities with the power switch
on or electrical power applied to the machine.
1. Switch off the machine power and disconnect the machine Power Cord.
2. Remove the Tray 1 Assembly. (REP 7.6)
3. Remove the Front Mid Cover (REP 14.2), or the Duplex Tray Assembly. (REP 8.27)
4. Access the Turn In Chute. (Figure 1)

CAUTION
Use care not to damage the hinges of the Turn In Chute during removal and replacement.
5. Remove the Turn In Chute. (Figure 2)

Remove three screws
and the Right Lower
Cover

Open the Turn Chute Cover

Remove the screw
securing the Turn
Cover Stopper

Remove the Upper Turn
Chute Assembly by pushing
on the boss on the front side
of the chute and pulling out-
ward on the assembly

See CAUTION - Bend
the Turn In Chute
hinges and remove
the rear boss from its
retaining hole. Pivot
the chute at the front
and remove the Turn
