005-703 ADF No Feed RAP
Procedure
Open, then close the Upper Chute Cover. The ADF Drive Motor cycles.
YN
Go to Flag 3. Check for an open circuit. If the wire is OK, replace the ADF Control PWB
(PL 17.2). If the problem remains, replace the ICM Main PWB (PL 16.2).
Use a test lead or a jumper wire to short J 814 pin 2 to ground. The Document Set Indica-
tor lights.
YN
Replace the ADF Control PWB (PL 17.2).
Disconnect P/J 711. There is +5 VDC from pin 2 of J711 to frame ground.
YN
Go to Flag 1. Check for an open circuit.
There is +5 VDC from pin 1 to pin 3 of J711.
YN
Go to Flag 2. Check for an open circuit.
Replace the Document Set Sensor (PL 17.5).
