Repairs and Adjustments
Initial Issue
REP 10.4 Upper Plate

Removal
WARNING
To avoid personal injury or shock, do not perform repair activities with the power switch
on or electrical power applied to the machine.
1. Switch off the machine power and disconnect the machine Power Cord.
2. Remove the Main Fuser Assembly (REP 10.2).
3. Remove the Upper Guide Assembly (REP 10.3).
CAUTION
When the Upper Plate is removed in the following step, the Fuser Front Frame and Fuser Rear
Frame will no longer be secured. Be careful not to damage the Heat Lamps.
One of the front screws and one of the rear screws also secure the wires for the Heat Roll Heat
Lamp.
Be careful not to damage the surface of the Heat Roll with a screwdriver or other tools, when
disengaging the Temperature Sensor.
4. Remove the Upper Plate (Figure 1).
Replacement
1. Reinstall the Upper Plate in the reverse order of removal.
