Removal
WARNING
To avoid personal injury or shock, do not perform repair activities with the power switch
on or electrical power applied to the machine.
1. Switch off the machine power and disconnect the machine Power Cord.
2. Remove the Platen Glass (REP 6.1).
3. Remove the ADF Assembly (REP 5.1).
4. Remove the Right Cover from the Scanner (REP 6.2).
5. Remove the Rear Cover from the Scanner (REP 6.4).
6. Remove the connector cover (Figure 1).

8. Disconnect five connectors from the ICM Main PWB (Figure 2).

Remove the screws (2) and connector cover

At the rear of the
Scanner, disconnect
the connectors (3)

On the right side of the
Scanner, disconnect
the Ribbon Cable and
connectors

Loosen the screw
on the bracket
underneath the
Ribbon Cable
