008-706 OHP Sensor RAP
The Control Logic has sensed the signal, OHP Sensed (L) +5 VDC at an incorrect time.
Initial Actions
Pull out the Bypass Tray/ Paper Transport Assembly and remove the OHP transparency from
the Registration Paper Transport.
Procedure
Enter the diagnostic mode. Enter code [DI-27]. The display indicates a “1”.
YN
Go to Flag 2. Check the wire for a short circuit to ground. The wire is good.
YN
Repair the wire. Ensure that PJ 20, PJ 91 and PJ 98 are properly connected.
Replace the OHP Sensor (PL 4.6). If the problem continues, replace the MCU PWB (PL
11.2).
Actuate the OHP Sensor by placing a white piece of paper over the OHP Sensor on the Paper
Transport. Close the Bypass Tray/ Paper Transport. Enter code [DI-27]. The display indi-
cates a “0”.
YN
Go to Flag 1and Flag 2. Check for an open circuit. The wires are good.
YN
Repair the wires.
Ensure that the OHP Sensor is free from contamination. Clean as required. If the problem
continues, replace the OHP Sensor (PL 4.6).
Replace the MCU PWB (PL 11.2).
