Status Indicator RAPs
Initial Issue
011-700 Sorter Not In Correct Position RAP
Sorter Control PWB logic has detected that the Sorter is not docked correctly.
Initial Actions
• Ensure that the Sorter is completely and correctly docked by pushing the Sorter all the
way against the IOT.
• Ensure that the Rear Cart Support (PL 19.6) is secured to the Rail Plate (PL 19.6).
Procedure
NOTE: Prior to replacing a component, unplug the connectors to the components (Docking
Interlock Switch). Check the connectors for broken, bent and dirty pins. Unplug and plug-in the
connectors several times to remove contaminants due to oxidation.
Remove the Front and Rear Covers from the Sorter. Measure voltage between J 6-1 of the
Sorter Control PWB and GND. Ensure that the Sorter is pushed all the way against the IOT.
Then move the Sorter to the left. The meter changes state from a Low (0 VDC) to a High
(+5 VDC).

The voltage remains Low (0 VDC).

Go to Flag 1. Check the harness for an open circuit. If the harness is OK, replace the
Docking Interlock (PL 19.6).
Go to Flag 1. Check the harness for a short circuit. If the harness is OK, replace the Dock-
ing Interlock (PL 19.6).
The docking interlock appears to be operating normally. Check the alignment between the
docking mechanism and the Docking Interlock.
