Measurement Review B-2 Measurement Overview
Why Measure?
The basic goal of a wireless communication system is to transfer the
maximum amount of RF energy to achieve coverage (Figure B-2). Wireless
communication systems require good integration of all components from the
ground to the antenna. Problems such as dented shielding, bad connectors,
water ingress, or over-torque will cause a mismatch and reflect power in a
manner that reduces RF energy transfer.
