Theory of Operation
If the Stroke Volume increase is >10%, the patient is determined to be
fluid responsive
.

This is also represented on the Starling Monitor by the estimated location of the indicator
on the Frank-Starling curve. This will be on the steep ascending portion - example shown in
Figure 2-4.
If the Stroke Volume increase is <10% the patient is considered not to be fluid responsive.
