2-30 Starling Monitor - User Guide
Operating Modes
The system will remain in Monitoring mode until such time as the user taps
either
the Pause
button (thereby pausing the current Monitoring session; the system instantly switches to
Pause Mode)
or
selects End Session (the system now enters Idle Mode).
Pause Mode
During a current Monitoring session, Pause mode is activated by the user when tapping the
Pause button to stop active Monitoring.
In Pause mode, data acquisition is no longer active; the system will remain in this mode until
the user taps the Resume (Play) button, whereby the system switches back to Monitoring
Mode. The
same
Monitoring session now resumes and active data acquisition continues.
While the Starling Monitor is operating in
Pause
mode, a clear, visual indication of the
currently-Paused
status is shown on the display - for the duration of the paused segment, a
white vertical line/band is visible on the Trends area (see the example in Figure 3-10 on
page 3-17); a pause (break) is seen in the Waveforms display for the duration of the Pause.
