Disposable Starling Sensors
WARNING
Starling Sensors are single-use disposable products and should never be reused, cleaned
or exposed to liquids. If necessary, replace the sensors if they become wet or soiled.
Reuse of Starling Sensors may cause a risk of cross-contamination, or affect
measurement accuracy and/or Starling system performance.
Reuse of Starling Sensors can cause infection, allergic reaction and loss of hemodynamic
parameters.
WARNING
Starling Sensors can be used while the patient is undergoing a CT Scan.
However, they are NOT suitable for use during MRI Scanning. In the event that the patient
is transferred to an MRI environment, the Starling Sensors must be removed.
CAUTION
When using Starling Sensors, users should always observe the following precautions:
Use Starling Sensors only with a Starling Monitor.
Do not use after expiration date.
Replace Starling Sensors with a new set of Sensors after 48 hours of use.
Sensor re-calibration must be performed after placement of Starling Sensors, and must be
repeated at least once per day.
In the unlikely event that the patient has an allergic reaction to the Starling Sensors, detach the
sensors immediately from the patient and avoid any further placement of Starling Sensors on
this patient.
