Notes are used to provide additional information for the purpose of clarification, or to stress
details of particular importance.

is ON.
Important notes are used to identify procedures or steps that must be performed to ensure
normal or optimal system performance. A typical example is shown below.
Procedure Instructions
For easy identification, procedure instructions are preceded by a symbol, as shown in this
example:
To Attach Starling Sensors to the Patient
Numbered procedure steps then follow.
For patients requiring monitoring for a period longer than 48 hours, Starling Sensors in current use
must be replaced with a new set of Sensors.
