Default Values frame
Administered to Standard Activity Ratio – This is the standard dilution factor,
which is 100 for this procedure.
Administered Volume – This is the volume injected into the patient.
Counting Time – This is the duration for counting, in seconds, each time a
measurement is performed. The default value is set to 60 seconds.
Repetitions frame – This is the number of repetitions each time a measurement is made.
For two repetitions, the average value is used in calculations. The second repetition may
be skipped during the measurement procedure, if so desired.
Normal Range (Female / Male) frames – Minimum and Maximum (ml/kg) for Whole
Blood, Plasma and Red Blood Cells – These numbers will define a range of values for
blood, plasma and red blood cell volumes respectively, for Females and Males, that can
be considered as medically normal for the patient’s weight. They are entered as seen fit
by the doctors. Out of range results indicate a medical condition and will be flagged in the
report. Entering these values is optional.
