Alarm Messages
Message Possible Cause(s) Possible Solution(s)
*Any* Motor Fault The thermal overload device
built into the motor has tripped
due to over temperature
condition.
Check the conveyor for proper
loading, lubrication and alignment;
check the speed setting if the
conveyor is clear, reduce the
speed setting if necessary or
proceed to the next step.
If this condition recurs, check for
proper wiring to motor (including
loose and/or broken wires).
If the wiring and mechanics check
out OK then it may be necessary
to replace motor.
*Any* Motor
Protection Fault
The motor protection device
(a.k.a. motor starter) has tripped
due to an over-current or short
circuit condition.
Check the conveyor for proper
loading, lubrication and alignment;
if the conveyor is clear, proceed to
the next step.
If the condition recurs, check for
proper wiring to motor (including
loose and/or broken wires).
If the wiring and mechanics check
out OK then it may be necessary
to replace motor, and/or replace
overload device.
*Any* VFD Fault The VFD (Variable Frequency
Drive) has detected a fault
condition.
Open the main electrical
enclosure and record the error
code on the VFD.
Make sure that the conveyor is not
mechanically bound or obstructed
and is able to move freely.
Consult the VFD manufacturer's
manual for support.
Air Pressure Fault The pressure in the air manifold
has dropped below the set limit.
The pressure switch has
malfunctioned.
Ensure that the MCR circuit is
energized so that air is not being
dumped. If the condition still
exists, check air supply pressure
at regulator, check for proper
operation of air pressure sensor.
